Glass about

Glass is formed when sand is treated at a high temperature.

Glass manufacturing requires immense heat (up to 1700°C). Glass is formed when sand is treated at a high temperature.

The glass that is used in our day-to-day is the soda-lime-silica glass which is manufactured by heating soda ash and limestone in a furnace.

The glass is then moulded using immense heat and pressure to create bottles, jars, containers, etc. Also the fibre glass and float glass that is used as raw material for other products are moulded using heat produced by natural gas.
